Tusq is an artificial ivory material of non-animal origin that is utilized for nuts and saddles across all Furch instruments. Its benefits extend beyond environmental concerns; Tusq's frequency characteristics allow for superior acoustic transmission across a wider spectrum of frequencies compared to other materials. Moreover, this saddle is fully compensated in six positions to individually enhance intonation of each string. Above that, the black Tusq formula ensures permanent lubrication at the string and nut contact point, enhancing tuning stability.
- Black saddle: Original part for right-handed models of the Violet Series, and Little Jane models manufactured in 2024 or later.
