OUR MISSION IS TO DESIGN AND PRODUCE INSTRUMENTS THAT ALLOW EVERYONE TO FULLY EXPRESS THEIR POTENTIAL FOR MUSICAL CREATIVITY AND PERFORMANCE.
Where It All Began
It all started in the 1970s, in a garage in Czechoslovakia. František Furch, a metalworker and passionate musician, built his first banjo out of necessity and later crafted his first acoustic guitar. The response was so positive that he began building for others. In 1981, he founded a one-man, workshop — in today's terms, a startup.
Our Philosophy
Every musician searches for their own voice. That very desire is what gave birth to Furch Guitars. Our instruments are built to help musicians express their musical identity with authenticity and without compromise. For us, tone, design, and technology are not the goal — they are tools that empower true creative freedom.
Growth and Expansion
After 1989, František's vision took off. The small workshop moved to a historic mill in Velké Němčice, which remains our home today. Production scaled up, the brand grew, and Furch guitars began appearing not only on Czech stages but also abroad. The 1990s brought new models, the first flagship store in Brno, and the foundations of our modern product philosophy.

At Furch Guitars, we merge traditional handcraft with proprietary innovation. Our R&D division has developed:
- CNR System active® – an innovative neck reinforcement for extreme stability
- Individual Soundboard Voicing – individual tuning of soundboards for cleaner, more balanced tone
- Resonance-Enhancing Finish – an ultra-thin, durable lacquer that enhances acoustic resonance
